Dennis Weisenborn was born to Lois and Clifford Weisenborn on October 6, 1948. He grew up in Sac City, Iowa and graduated from Sac City High School. He then went to Iowa State University to study architecture. Dennis served in the United States Army and was deployed to Vietnam. Subsequently, he worked as a Microwave Path Engineer in the communications industry for many years and traveled all over the world for his work. He was co-owner of Wavelink International until he retired.

Dennis loved music, family, friends, woodworking, and, of course, Mazda cars. God came and wrapped his arms around Dennis and took him home on August 9, 2017.

Dennis is survived by Lois Weisenborn (mother), Jesse Weisenborn (son), Justin (son) & Milena Weisenborn, Jason Weisenborn (son) & Cecelia Daskas, Donna Weisenborn, Jayne Barekas (sister), Dana (brother) & Joann Weisenborn, Jill Wilhelm (sister), Kathy Kuehl, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by Fred Weisenborn (grandfather), Lawrence Wycoff (grandfather), Lura Weisenborn (grandmother), Ida Peterson (grandmother), Carl Peterson (step-grandfather), Kevin Headlee (nephew), and Clifford Weisenborn (father).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to Fisher House, which supports families of veterans.
