Arlene Mary Novak passed away at her home on November 20, 2016. She was 70 years old. Arlene was born in Jersey City, NJ on September 14, 1946.

She attended Our Lady of Victories Grammar School and Snyder High School in Jersey City. She worked and lived in New York City for 15 years as a market analyst. Arlene was a sailing enthusiast and loved working on the boat. She lived in Del Ray Beach, Florida from 1992-1996. She then moved to Garland, Texas to live with her sister in 1996. Arlene worked...

Arlene Mary Novak passed away at her home on November 20, 2016. She was 70 years old. Arlene was born in Jersey City, NJ on September 14, 1946.

She attended Our Lady of Victories Grammar School and Snyder High School in Jersey City. She worked and lived in New York City for 15 years as a market analyst. Arlene was a sailing enthusiast and loved working on the boat. She lived in Del Ray Beach, Florida from 1992-1996. She then moved to Garland, Texas to live with her sister in 1996. Arlene worked for Transtar National Title as a property tax specialist for the past 15 years.

She was active in her neighborhood community serving as vice president for the neighborhood association. She was in charge of the annual picnic and chili cook off. Arlene threw one heck of a party. She was awarded the Excalibur award for community service.

Arlene is preceded in death by her parents Ann and Leonard Novak and her brother Raymond Novak. She is survived by her sister Lee Tallo of Garland, TX; brother Dennis (Diane) Novak of Ft. Myers, Florida; sister-in-law Margit Novak of Georgetown, TX; nephews Jeff (Kelly) Tallo of McKinney, TX, Len (Kelly) Tallo of McKinney, TX, Mike Novak of Bastrap, TX, and Keith (Darla) Novak of Elgin, TX; and nieces Cheryl Novak of Tennessee and Kim (Chris) Bailey of Bayville, NJ.

She will be remembered by her warm and loving gestures of friendship and caring. Her love of photography supplied relatives and friends with beautiful photo memories. She will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at 3109 Noble Lane in Garland, TX.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a Christmas Tree Angel or to Dallas Morning News Charities.
